GROWTH mind-set encourages students to see learning as becoming better at something, as opposed to FIXED mind-set, in which performance is seen as a measure of one's intelligence. A child with a fixed mind-set will think, I failed, therefore I am a failure. A student with a growth mind-set will think, I messed up; what can I learn from this?
